The park opened on May 29, 2010.[5] Aside from The brand new rides introduced in by Zamperla, many older rides from Astroland had been integrated into Luna Park. These provided the outdated park's centerpiece, "Astrotower", which wasn't operational; another inherited ride was the landmarked Cyclone roller coaster, which was leased out to Astroland
